GENERAL INFO
- I do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18!
- Each design price is based on size / placement / complexity / time.
- Please let me know in advance if you would like to change your tattoo design/size/placement as the price may change and you may need to be rescheduled.

Prepayment/Deposit:
- To confirm your booking, a prepayment/deposit is required.
- Please note: Your appointment is not secured until a deposit has been paid and you receive confirmation from me.
- For Flash Designs: A £50 deposit/booking fee is required to secure your appointment date/time. The deposit will be deducted from the final tattoo price on the day.
- For Custom-made designs: A prepayment serves as a design commission ranging from £30 to £100, depending on the size, placement and complexity of the tattoo. The design commission is not included in the tattoo price and will not be deducted from the final cost. The prepayment covers my work on the sketch and the option to send it before the session, which sometimes requires extra effort.
- Your completed tattoo design will be sent to you two days before your appointment.
- Please note: If any changes are needed, that's absolutely fine—don’t hesitate to ask! Just let me know as soon as possible after seeing the design. However, major changes—such as completely redrawing the sketch—will require an additional payment. To avoid unnecessary delays or extra charges, please clearly outline all your preferences before submitting your enquiry.
Cancellations/Reschedules/Lateness:
- At least 3 days notice is required for rescheduling to avoid losing your deposit.
- If you miss or cancel your appointment at the last minute, a new deposit will be required.
- Being 15 minutes late or more without notifying me will result in the cancellation of your appointment.
Health:
- Please consult your GP/dermatologist before booking an appointment if you have any skin conditions/medications that may affect your tattoo. You cannot be tattooed whilst on blood thinners.
- You may not be tattooed if you’re pregnant and/or breastfeeding.
Touch-Up appointments:
- One free touch-up may be offered if necessary, within 4 months of the original appointment. Fees may apply if aftercare instructions were not followed. Requests for touch-ups after 4 months will incur a setup fee of £30.
- Not all healed tattoos require a retouch. In some cases, unnecessarily tattooing over a healed tattoo can affect its longevity and overall appearance. If I feel a touch-up is unnecessary, I may decline your request.
- To book a touch-up appointment, please email a clear, close-up photo of your healed tattoo to yg.tattooing@gmail.com.

- Yes, I offer this option. Your completed tattoo design will be sent to you two days before your appointment. A prepayment serves as a design commission, it covers my work on the sketch and the option to send it before the session.
- Most tattoo artists show the design only on the day of the session, I understand this approach, but I have chosen a different, more comfortable way of working. I prefer to send it two days ahead. This gives the client time to reflect and confirm it’s exactly what they want. If any changes are needed, I can make them without rushing, especially for large designs. Sending the sketch in advance reduces the risk of dissatisfaction later, there are cases when the client sees the sketch on the day of the session, likes it, but after the emotions settle, they realize it’s not quite what they wanted. This happens because they didn’t have the time to be alone with their thoughts and feelings about the sketch. We are all different: some people need more time to think it over, while others might feel shy to speak up if something doesn’t feel right on the day of the session. To avoid such situations, I prefer to send the sketch in advance, which is something few tattoo artists do. That’s why I’ve concluded that sending the sketch two days before the session, while it requires more work on my part, gives both the client and me more confidence and makes the process smoother for both.
- Yes. I do cover-ups, but it depends on the existing tattoo. Send me a picture of your tattoo, and once I receive it, I'll let you know if it can be covered up in my style or if other options might work better.
- Yes! Send me a photo of your scar, and I’ll be able to tell you more accurately whether it's possible to tattoo over it.
- No. I work specifically with black ink only.
- Yes.
- I ask clients not to use numbing cream, as it can complicate the tattooing process and may affect healing. If you're feeling nervous about your appointment, please let me know, and we can discuss options for making your appointment more comfortable.
- Take the time to check my healed works of fine line tattoos to know what to expect. Healed tattoos look different to fresh tattoos. Your body is organic and your tattoo will heal like a wound and age with you. Some sharpness may be lost after healing, and your tattoo may appear lighter. In some cases, a touch-up may be needed, while in others, it may not—all tattoos heal differently.
- Strict aftercare must be followed, as good healing depends on you too. Please follow the aftercare instructions on my page.
- Have a good breakfast or lunch before your tattoo session.
- Stay hydrated and exfoliate/moisturize the area to be tattooed in the days leading up to your appointment. This will promote healthy skin and help make the tattooing process smoother.
- Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, as they can thin your blood, causing you to bleed more and making it harder for the ink to stay in your skin.
- Wear comfortable and accessible clothing for the area being tattooed.
- Avoid using numbing cream on the area being tattooed.
- Avoid sunburn—sunburned or damaged skin cannot be tattooed. This includes scratching and bruising.

- A ‘second-skin’ covering will be applied to your tattoo. Leave this on for 2–4 days. If it comes off prematurely, don’t panic—simply continue the aftercare process as normal.
- After 2–4 days, carefully remove the second-skin under warm water. Wash your hands thoroughly, then use antibacterial soap to gently cleanse your tattoo with clean fingertips.
- Pat your fresh tattoo dry with a disposable paper towel.
- Apply a thin layer of unscented moisturizer (such as cocoa butter) to your tattoo. Do this twice a day to prevent dryness. Continue this process for at least two weeks.
- Keep your tattoo clean. Repeat the above instructions for cleaning and moisturising twice a day for at least two weeks.
- Be patient. Tattoos take 4 weeks to fully heal and for the ink to settle into your skin.
- Wear loose clothing while healing, especially in the early stages (1-2 weeks) —tight fabrics can irritate the area. As your tattoo heals, it may seep plasma and excess ink, causing the clothing to stick to it. This can make the clothing painful to remove and may rip off any freshly formed scabs. If your clothing does stick to your tattoo, do not pull it off! Instead, wet the area with water to loosen the clothing, allowing it to be removed without damaging your tattoo. Additionally, tight clothing can restrict oxygen flow to your tattoo, and oxygen is essential for proper healing. Aim to wear clean, loose-fitting clothing both day and night while your tattoo is healing.
- Avoid picking or scratching your tattoo. Any itchiness will subside after a few days.
- Avoid soaking your tattoo until your tattoo is fully healed (4+ weeks), avoid swimming in pools, the sea, or soaking in bathtub, hot tubs, jacuzzis, and saunas. Firstly, excessive water exposure can draw ink out of your skin and affect the tattoo’s appearance. Secondly, water in swimming pools, the sea, and bathtubs may contain dirt, bacteria, chemicals, and other impurities that could lead to infection.
- Avoid gyms and excessive exercise for at least one week.
- Avoid direct sunlight, including sunbeds. Once fully healed (4+ weeks), use sunscreen to protect your tattoo.
- If you notice any issues during healing (excessive redness, swelling, or signs of infection), consult a healthcare professional immediately.
Follow the aftercare steps properly throughout the healing process—this is essential for ensuring a healthy and long-lasting tattoo.
